Santa Tips & Facts

Santa Claus lives with his helpers, the elves, at Korvatunturi. However, a long time ago he decided to meet and be with people at other times of the year. With the help of his good friends, he decided to build his own village close to the town of Rovaniemi, at the point where the highway north crosses the magical Arctic Circle.

GingerbreadDay 1
snowflake After arrival at Rovaniemi’s own convenient airport, the children will love being greeted en route to the resort by a reindeer with its Sami handler, and one of Santa’s elves.

snowflake

Our comfortable coaches will whisk you off for the short 20-25 minute ride to your chosen hotel or Lapland cabin. On the way, we will call in on our Arctic clothing partner to get you fitted out with your special complimentary thermal over-suits, boots, gloves and hats.

snowflake Fun-time - a chance to explore Rovaniemi and get your bearings in this popular resort, or to head out into the snow to make snowmen or try tobogganing, or maybe enjoy a relaxing swim or sauna.

snowflake For guests on our full-board option, a wonderful welcome dinner this evening sets the scene for tomorrow’s excitement!

Day 2
snowflake Today’s major highlight is our thrilling 11/2-hour
Snowmobile Safari Adventure! Zooming along forest trails or across the frozen river, adults ride with a partner, taking turns if you wish to drive or ride pillion, whilst children are towed in special sledges behind the guides, or older children may choose to ride pillion behind a parent. The trip also includes a break for hot drinks around a crackling campfire, with toboggans laid on to keep the youngsters busy and happy!

snowflake Today you will also meet a local Sami guide at the traditional Arctic Circle Ceremony, who will introduce you to their culture with stories and legends, and every guest receives a special souvenir certificate to commemorate the day.

snowflake Lunch is also included at the welcoming local restaurant,, either before or after your snowmobile adventure. This will be a simple, hot 2-course meal with plenty of hot berry juice, squash, tea and coffee.

snowflake This 4-day trip allows that bit extra time to relax and enjoy Lapland to the full, so for the remainder of the day, choose from the Optional Adventures

snowflake

Full-board guests will enjoy dinner at leisure in the restaurant of your chosen accommodation this
evening, to set the scene for tomorrow’s excitement to come!

GingerbreadDay 3
snowflake
We will pick you up from your hotel/cabin reception for the ultimate Christmas adventure, with all the following activities available at some point during the day, all of which are included in our prices.

snowflake
Husky Sled Ride - the sensation of gliding through this winter wonderland behind a team of eager huskies is a highlight of the trip for many guests. Children ride sitting with a parent, whilst grown-ups can all take a turn at actually ‘driving’ your own sled on this thrilling 15-minute adventure.

snowflake
Reindeer Sleigh Ride - here in the Joulukka Adventure Forest, the reindeer sleighs are an ideal way to move aroun the area, and you can hop on and off the sleighs as you go between some of the many activities.

snowflake Visit Santa’s ‘Christmas Control Centre’, to see how Santa keeps track of all his letters from around the world, and stays in touch with all his elves and helpers, busily getting ready for Christmas.

snowflake Enjoy a fun lesson at the Elf School, learning about the elves and all the shy but friendly Lapland animals you may meet out and about in the woods!

snowflake Lunch is also included of course, on the same
