Standard and Family Room (23m²) -
sleeps 1-4: All beautifully furnished Standard rooms have shower, WC, TV, fridge, phone, drying closet, iron, kettle, hairdryer. Larger ideally designed Family rooms, allocated to 3-4 persons, feature bunk beds in an alcove separated from main twin bedroom by a sliding door. No single occupancy supplement.

Superior Room (29m²) - sleeps 2-3: New spacious rooms connected internally to the spa building with same facilities as Standard rooms plus balcony and bathrobes. Maximum 2 adults plus child in extra bed.

Junior Suite (44m²) - sleeps 2-4: New beautifully furnished 2 room suites with en suite sauna in same building as Superior Rooms with same facilities. Twin bedroom separated by sliding door from living room with double sofa bed.

Meals: Hot and cold buffet breakfast and 3 course buffet dinner or €10 credit toward à la carte.

Ylläs Log Cabins

The iconic image of Christmas is a toasty warm cabin complete with roaring fire tucked away in a snow-laden forest. Outside the occasional paw print is left by passing reindeer and the cabin guarded by a snowman built earlier that day. We offer a choice of well-equipped, high-quality, idyllic log cabins dotted around the woods 600-800m from either Äkäs or Kaltio hotel.

Location: 6-8 minutes’ walk (600-800m) from Äkäs or Kaltio Hotel from where most excursions depart.

Types of log cabins (sizes are approximate) All cabins have shower, wc, sauna, fireplace (wood included), TV, VCR or DVD, oven, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, microwave, vacuum cleaner, iron, coffee maker, drying closet, washing machine. Guests may pay to use Äkäs Hotel pool and sauna.

2-rooms + mezzanine (A5) 45m²+10m² - sleeps 2-5: One twin bedroom, 2 matress beds in mezzanine, single sofa-bed in open-plan living room/kitchen.

3-rooms + mezzanine (B6) 57m² +20m² - sleeps 3-6: 2 twin bedrooms plus large mezzanine with 2 beds.

Meals: Half board supplement for buffet breakfast and 3 course buffet dinner at Äkäs or Kaltio Hotel is included in the SantaTrips price.
