Harriniva lies in the beautiful, rolling fell land of Western Lapland where the hills and forests typify a Lapland untouched for 1,000 years. The setting of your hotel is alongside the Muonionjoki River and is home to the largest group of huskies in Lapland.

Day 1
Depart Heathrow at 10.20 on Finnair scheduled flight(s) via Helsinki to Kittila. Arrive 17.45 local time and transfer to Muonio. Check-in at Harriniva Hotel where your thermal clothing will be available in your hotel room. Welcome drink and programme briefing followed by Sami buffet supper.
Day 2
After breakfast, it's time to meet Rudolph, Dancer, Prancer and their friends and enjoy fun and games in the snow. Everybody will be given reindeer driving lessons and receive their own Reindeer Driving Certificate as well as enjoying a traditional 'Crossing the Arctic Circle' ceremony. Along with meeting the reindeer herders in their traditional 'kota', there will be time for tandem-skiing, snow shoeing, tobogganing and trips on mini-snowmobiles for the children. Lunch in the hotel restaurant; after which it is time for a family snowmobile safari through the snow clad forest. Stop mid-way for a warming berry juice by an open fire before returning to the hotel for a relaxing sauna. In the evening, the flickering flames of the lumberjacks' candles invite us to gather in the Aurora Borealis 'kota' restaurant alongside the hotel.
Day 3
After breakfast, it is time for the adventure of the day with over 250 friendly Siberian huskies eager to pull our sleighs through the Arctic forest. There are cute baby ones, big ones - all sorts, each with their own name and after your guides show us how to handle a dog sleigh, you take a short ride through the forest. Lunch in the hotel restaurant, after which you set off on a forest trail to find your Christmas tree which later the children will help decorate.
Afterwards, each family travels individually by sleigh to meet Father Christmas in his traditional wood cabin home. Whilst waiting to meet him and make known your wishes, everybody can help make decorations and bake ginger-bread cookies. Traditional Sami buffet dinner culminating in a visit by Father Christmas who will have a small present for everyone, after which there will be dancing with elves.
Day 4
After breakfast, there will be time for tobogganing and some fun in the snow before transfer to Kittila airport for Finnair scheduled flight(s) to Heathrow where we arrive at 17.10 local time.
