Family owned by Tovi Quist, a past Olympic skier, and his wife Meeri. The hotel is unique with a colony of log cabins built in original Finnish design. The cabins are gathered around a central building housing a restaurant, a sitting room and a bar.
Meeri’s uncle, Aapi Akaslompolo (sic), founded the hotel by adding a loft to his barn as an overnight accommodation for skiers and the description of the accommodation: humming (humina) - has remained ever since. Each cabin has four beds, two of which are on an upper gallery, and includes a private wc/shower, a telephone, a radio, a hairdryer and a drying cupboard.
